INTRODUCTION TO DGH CHILAW
The hospital comprises of an out patients department, a preliminary care unit, 16 wards with a total of 592 beds, over 20 special units, 5 bed ICU, 22 bed HDU and 2 operating theaters.
Around 1000 dedicated staff working around the clock to provide the optimum service to patients in DGH Chilaw.
DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE
I am pleased to see the staffs are working together to achieve a common objective which direct towards the established vision we have. However we must strive harder to improve team work and pear support.
It will be easy for us to reach our goals by mutual respect and trust. Each and every member of the staff of this hospital is equally valued as an essential part of the team that delivers excellent health care.

Food Distribution Program 2022
In parallel to the Food safety day 2022, DGH chilaw has introduced the modern way of food distribution system to the inward patients. The new process is very hygienic.
All the nutritional values kept unchanged. In addtion, the nutritional value is calculated for each plate depending on patient's need.
