The District General Hospital of Chilaw is the largest government hospital in the Puttalam district located in the heart of the town of Chilaw, Sri Lanka. It is the only health care institute in the district that comes under the direct perview of the central government. It caters its services to the patients in the Puttalam district in a wide spectrum which includes main specialties as well as sub specialties.

The hospital comprises of an out patients department, a preliminary care unit, 16 wards with a total of 592 beds, over 20 special units, 5 bed ICU, 22 bed HDU and 2 operating theaters.

Around 1000 dedicated staff working around the clock to provide the optimum service to patients in DGH Chilaw.
