Dermatology is the specialty of curing the diseases of the skin. The dermatology unit of DGH Chilaw consists of seven beds for inward patients. Various kind of skin disease patients admitted in to this ward. Eg; Eczema, Chronic plaque psoriasis, Allergic Reaction, Pemphigus vulgaris, Exfoliative Dermertitise, Pyoderma gangrenasum, Neutropic Vasculitis, Multiple Keloid, Systeamic sclerosis, Chicken Pox, Herpis Zoster, Scabies, Lepromatus leprosy, Cutanious leishmaniasis etc.

Consultant Dermatologist Dr. Sanjeewa Hulangamuwa and five medical officers work in this ward. As supportive staff there are two female nurses, one male nurse and one attendant work in here.
